Odely Marine
is a professional marine design and consultation company developed
itself along with the booming of China’s Shipbuilding industry.
Odely Marine was originally a
joint venture established in 1994 by Odely Trading
GmbH, Germany (hereinafter referred
to as Odely) and Marine Desing &
Research Institute of China (hereinafter referred
to as MARIC).
Combined with international marketing resources from Odely
with strong technical abilities from MARIC, Odely
Marine was founded as a window and special force
of MARIC to explore international ship design market, especially
the Europe market. In Chinese, the pronunciation ‘Odely’ symbolizes
a win-win strategy in Europe market.
Since the foundation of Odely Marine,
we have been focusing on ship design and the development of
marine technology, marine consultation, shipbuilding supervision
and survey, etc. in the international market. In the passed
years, Odely Marine has been being
one of the most active and competitive design company having
successful cooperation with Chinese shipyards. Our major activity,
ship design, has experienced success in Chinese shipbuilding
market. Dozens of merchant vessel designs, including container
ship, multipurpose vessel, bulk carrier, chemical tanker,
LPG carrier, tug, etc., have been provided to European and
other international clients,
Aiming at a more effective and competitive company in both
international and domestic market, Odely Marine
separated from MARIC at the end of 2002 and became an independent
private company.
Today, Odely Marine has about
30 professional marketing and technical staff with technical
committee membership of ABS, BV, GL and LR. We are the exclusive
official translator of BV Rules and Regulations in China.
Our key staffs, not only accomplished in modern ship design,
but also with abundant experience of international cooperation,
many of them been trained or attended cooperate design in
Europe. Close cooperation with famous Chinese Towing Tanks
also enabled us to keep abreast with global cutting-edge technology
of hydrodynamics. Up to now, we boast a private company who
has the ability to develop ship design from initial to detailed
stage for European Owners in China. Our innovative designs
close integrated with Owner’s practice, has attracted many
international clients.
With the increasing comparative advantages in China’s shipbuilding
